About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst supporting Kin’s homeowners insurance business through forecasting, reporting, and strategic financial analysis. Improving FP&A processes and guiding expansion across states and products.

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring financial reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Build and maintain forecast models using Kin's established methodologies and processes
  • Manage monthly and quarterly Finance reporting cycles end-to-end
  • Drive ad hoc financial analysis informing state- and product-level growth strategy decisions
  • Establish process improvements for recurring reporting and forecast modeling workflows
  • Maintain data integrity and documentation across forecast models and reporting tools
  • Track and report key financial and operational metrics tied to Kin's expansion into new states
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine forecasting and reporting standards
  • Support Kin's homeowners insurance growth strategy and expansion into new states and markets
  • Report to the Director of FP&A

Requirements

  • 4+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance experience
  • Experience with forecast modeling and recurring financial reporting
  • Proficiency building and maintaining financial models in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience owning monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with minimal oversight
  • Ability to translate financial data into analysis informing strategic decisions
  • Experience working cross-functionally with non-Finance stakeholders
  • Proficiency with financial planning and reporting tools such as Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, Anaplan, or similar
  • Insurance, fintech, or high-growth startup experience
  • Must be able to live and work full-time in one of the specified U.S. states
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
