Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of innovative pipeline inspection technologies and electromechanical systems.
Develop concepts, detailed 3D CAD models, engineering calculations, FEA simulations, prototypes, and manufacturing-ready designs.
Plan and execute prototype validation, laboratory testing, and field trials to verify product performance.
Work closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, operations, and product teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
Investigate product performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement engineering improvements.
Create detailed engineering documentation including drawings with GD&T, technical reports, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and design documentation.
Adapt proprietary technologies to meet customer- and project-specific requirements.
Support manufacturing and production teams during fabrication and product launch.
Coordinate engineering changes within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop high-quality, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
Provide technical support for customer installations, commissioning activities, and field deployments.
Develop technical documentation and training materials for internal teams and end users.
Participate in design reviews and drive continuous product improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience designing mechanical or electromechanical systems in a product development or manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, including finite element analysis (FEA)
Solid understanding of mechanical design, machine building, manufacturing processes, and product development
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support product testing, commissioning, and customer deployments.
