Business Systems Analyst needed for Capital Markets, working on OTC derivatives and trading systems. Collaborate with teams to deliver scalable platforms for trading, risk, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Analyze complex OTC derivatives workflows and gather detailed business and functional requirements. Develop high-quality business and technical documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and user stories. Support solution design by evaluating options, validating technical feasibility, and refining non-functional requirements. Collaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to design and implement scalable solutions. Perform data analysis using SQL, validate data mappings, and contribute to API integration specifications (REST/JSON). Support UAT planning, execution, and post-implementation validation, including troubleshooting and defect resolution. Build strong partnerships with Trading, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and QA teams. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders. Assist in the analysis of production issues and evaluate their impact to support ongoing improvements. Work closely within a hybrid team environment, contributing to project success across multiple asset classes.
Requirements
At least 4-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in Capital Markets. Proven expertise in OTC derivatives and full trade lifecycle management. Strong SQL and Excel skills for data analysis, mapping, and validation. Experience creating detailed requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios. Hands-on UAT support and defect analysis capabilities. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Financial institutional experience and understanding of capital markets processes. Nice to have: Knowledge of FpML, FIX, REST APIs, and JSON. Python skills for data analysis and automation. Experience with derivatives platforms such as Murex or Calypso. Data visualization expertise using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), Jira, and Confluence. Regulatory reporting knowledge (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II, UMR, DTCC).
