Senior Data Engineer contract role: design/build ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure stack, primarily remote in Canada, occasional onsite in Edmonton.

- Aarorn Technologies seeks a Data Engineer/BSA for a hybrid Toronto role. 60% BSA, 40% data engineering, 5+ years experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, conduct workshops, prepare BRD/FRD/user stories, analyze processes, translate requirements into technical specs, perform data analysis, coordinate UAT, and ensure traceability. Develop and maintain SQL queries, perform data profiling and quality analysis, support ETL/ELT pipelines, design data models, work with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP), support data migration, and troubleshoot pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Strong SQL skills, experience with data analysis and business systems analysis, familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and cloud data platforms, and excellent communication skills.
