About the role
- Seeking a DDI Engineer with deep DNS expertise to support a large enterprise network in the GTA, ON. Contract role requiring hands-on experience with DNS/DHCP and IPAM platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide DNS/DHCP engineering support for a large enterprise network, including daily support, solution design for mergers/acquisitions, and provisioning of DNS/DHCP servers. Provide ongoing engineering guidance to cross-functional departments.
Requirements
- Exceptional knowledge of DNS architecture (ISC BIND, Microsoft DNS); strong understanding of DNS fundamentals; experience with IPAM/DDI platforms (Infoblox, BlueCat, BT IPControl); hands-on DNS/DHCP support in large enterprise; advanced IP management and network design; provisioning DNS/DHCP servers; understanding of domain transfers and ARIN; Unix/Windows shell scripting; troubleshooting and root cause analysis; knowledge of switching/routing protocols, Cisco GSS/GSLB, firewalls; excellent communication and documentation skills.
