About the role
- Senior Business Analyst for 12-month contract in Toronto (hybrid) to support derivatives platform implementation with requirements gathering and documentation.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to understand functional and technical requirements for a new derivatives platform. Responsibilities include requirements gathering and analysis, documentation development (requirement specifications, process documentation, technical guides), creating user guides and training materials, preparing runbooks for operational procedures, acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, and providing ongoing documentation and analytical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Must have: 3-5+ years as a Business Analyst in financial services or technology projects; financial services background in fund administration, derivatives trading, or related financial operations; proven ability to create clear documentation including requirements specs, process flows, user guides, and operational procedures; experience working cross-functionally with business teams, technical architects, developers, and operations; Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. Nice-to-have: Derivatives or financial systems knowledge; fund administration system knowledge; change management experience; UAT leadership; trading or operations background.
