About the role
- Senior Data Engineer needed for a 1-year contract with an asset management client in Toronto. Requires 7+ years of experience, Snowflake, Python, SQL, and cloud platform expertise.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Data Engineer, you will support a brand-new, multi-year data platform initiative for a leading institutional asset management organization. You will be responsible for building enterprise data pipelines and platforms, and delivering end-to-end data solutions. This role involves working with modern cloud data platforms and requires experience with trading systems and process flows. You will also mentor engineers and lead projects or initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Data Engineering experience; Direct Asset Management experience strongly preferred (Wealth Management or Capital Markets may also be considered); Strong Snowflake experience and modern cloud data platform expertise; Strong Python, SQL, and cloud engineering skills; Experience building enterprise data pipelines/platforms and end-to-end data solutions; Exposure to trading systems/process flows; BlackRock Aladdin experience is highly valuable; Senior/Lead experience including mentoring engineers or leading projects/initiatives; AWS/Azure/GCP experience; Curious and adaptable toward AI-driven engineering.
