About the role
- Senior Data Engineer needed for a financial client in Toronto. 12-month contract, hybrid (3 days onsite), $78/hr (INC).
Responsibilities
- The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading large-scale, end-to-end data platform buildouts and pipeline development within the asset management domain. This includes leveraging Snowflake and AWS cloud-native technologies, designing APIs and microservices, and ensuring data platform optimization and cost governance.
Requirements
- Mandatory 7-8 years of hands-on experience in asset management; expert-level Snowflake proficiency; 7+ years in data-driven organizations leading data platform buildouts; 5+ years with AWS services (S3, EC2, EKS, Glue, SageMaker, Athena, Redshift); strong programming in Python, Java, Scala, SQL; experience designing APIs and microservices.
