About the role
- Safety Coordinator for ONxpress overseeing health and safety in construction projects. Conducting training and audits while developing safety plans within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety orientation to workers, owners and clients
- Train employees on ONxpress Health, Safety and Environmental Manual
- Conduct workplace inspections, behavior-based observations and audits
- Develop worksite safety plans – such as emergency plans, environmental or site safety plans
- Conduct studies and analyze EHS data trends
- Liaise with Government agencies as required
- Prepare and assist with external safety audits
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry in a Health and Safety role
- Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and/or Certificate of Recognition (COR) Auditor preferred
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
