Managing Broker overseeing Quebec brokerage compliance, transactions, and agent support for eXp Realty’s cloud-based real estate brokerage.
Driving technology adoption, training, and provincial operational excellence remotely.
Responsibilities
Assist the Designated Managing Broker in administering eXp Realty brokerage operations at the provincial level
Support agents in delivering exceptional real estate brokerage service to clients and customers
Ensure compliance with provincial licensing law, association membership, MLS participation, transaction review, compliance training, and the eXp Risk Management program
Respond promptly to agents’ requests for assistance
Assist with processes for quick transfer of licenses
Coordinate distribution of inbound mail
Liaise between agents and internal departments
Participate in periodic face-to-face meetings to cultivate trust and community
Promote agent safety, well-being, and a positive, supportive culture
Assist the Provincial Designated Managing Broker/Broker of Record with delegated duties
Promote and use eXp technology, tools, platforms, Realty World Campus, and the cloud environment
Engage with local, provincial, and Canadian real estate associations and MLSs
Perform timely contract reviews for legal and contractual compliance
Collaborate with leadership and Legal to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Monitor provincial performance goals and support accountability for their achievement
Implement and enhance the eXp Risk Management Program
Maintain company-wide and provincial brokerage operations manuals
Oversee customer-facing marketing activities
Mediate issues between agents when required
Support efficient brokerage operations for the growing provincial agent base
Work with eXp Growth Leaders for provincial success
Provide monthly brokerage operations reports to leadership
Provide leadership and oversight to the Compliance Review Specialist when applicable
Conduct training on contracts, risk management, licensing, real estate law, FINTRAC, privacy, DNC, Competition Act, and anti-spam requirements
Consult with agents on difficult or complex transaction issues
Provide guidance and support to agents
Drive technology adoption, agent enablement, and digital innovation
Champion adoption of Skyslope, Slack, CRM of Choice, My eXp, and other core platforms
Partner with technology and training teams on technology rollouts
Monitor agent adoption metrics and recommend solutions
Provide frontline support on transactions, system navigation, and technology compliance workflows
Lead or co-facilitate provincial training sessions
Maintain a resource library or knowledge base
Identify local technology challenges and participate in innovation pilots
Share agent satisfaction and technology feedback with national teams
Requirements
Active real estate broker designated license
AEO with continuing education credits in real estate management and legal compliance
High-level experience in real estate compliance activities
Deep knowledge of legal obligations under provincial and federal law
Knowledge of FINTRAC, Privacy Act, CREA Code of Ethics, and MLS Rules and Regulations
Proven experience managing a medium to large brokerage firm from an operations or compliance perspective
Track record of leading and motivating others, developing staff, and maintaining strong employee relations
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly collaborative approach in in-person and virtual environments
Operational and strategic thinking
Ability to drive results and meet goals with urgency
Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using sound judgment
Highest degree of integrity
Willingness and ability to travel
Ability to work remotely
Member in good standing of the Canadian Real Estate Association and local council
Working knowledge of Broker Wolf and SkySlope EZ MAX
Must be bilingual in English and French
Designated Managing Brokers must adhere to all council requirements
