About the role

  • PR and content specialist developing data-driven stories and media campaigns for Zoocasa, a Canadian real estate prop-tech platform. Building relationships with journalists across Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute public relations and content strategies focused on the Canadian market
  • Research and write content for the Zoocasa Market Insights blog
  • Work with media partners to grow brand presence online across Canada and the United States
  • Craft data-driven blog articles, website copy, pitches, newsletter copy, and other content
  • Collect, analyze, and verify Canadian and U.S. real estate market data for internal teams and consumers
  • Assist junior team members in defining and executing methodologies for data-driven articles
  • Provide editorial support, including fact-checking, correcting spelling and grammatical errors, and maintaining Zoocasa’s brand voice
  • Research industry trends to support comprehensive PR and content strategies aligned with business goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists across Canada and the U.S.
  • Compile media lists and assist with editorial planning
  • Write and distribute informative, engaging pitches
  • Respond to media inquiries in a timely manner
  • Translate complex data-driven content into clear media briefs
  • Collaborate one-on-one with spokespeople to prepare them for media opportunities
  • Track and analyze PR and content metrics to measure campaign effectiveness
  • Make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Leverage AI and infographics to provide compelling imagery and data for written content
  • Monitor news and industry trends and adapt content and PR strategies to market changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, media/public relations, and/or journalism
  • Strong familiarity with the Canadian media landscape, including key national, regional, and trade publications
  • Proven experience pitching stories to Canadian media outlets
  • Experience communicating data through visualizations, including tables, graphs, and infographics
  • Hands-on knowledge of design tools such as Figma and Canva
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Ability to tell a clear, compelling story from start to finish using concise, impactful language
  • Self-editing and quality-control skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow beyond primary functions
  • Ability to learn and perform research independently
