About the role

  • Senior Reporting Analyst transforming data into insights for Alberta's public safety system. Developing reporting products and providing analytical support to decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate PSES performance indicator dashboards
  • Facilitate planning sessions with divisions and business areas
  • Recommend performance indicators and interpret statistical trends
  • Prepare executive-ready materials, including briefings, Q&A documents, and speaking notes
  • Finalize and distribute dashboard products to program areas and senior leadership
  • Create dashboards and interactive reports (SAS VA, Power BI, Excel)
  • Capture evolving reporting needs and refine products accordingly
  • Support KPI monitoring and performance measurement
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis and experimental design
  • Translate findings into clear insights for leadership
  • Respond to internal and external data requests

Requirements

  • University graduation in Social Science, mathematics, statistics or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years analyzing and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Skilled with multi disciplinary datasets and tools like SAS VA, Power BI, and Excel
  • Understanding of how the criminal justice system is structured and operates
  • Experience creating reports, briefings, presentations, and translating technical information for diverse audiences
  • Strong facilitation, consultation, and project management abilities
