About the role

  • Senior NetSuite engineer leading commercial SuiteApp development for supply chain technology. Architecting scalable modules, integrations, testing, and Agile delivery for enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of software engineers, conduct code reviews, set standards, and drive technical excellence
  • Architect and design SuiteApp features using SuiteScript 2.x modules, custom records, workflows, and REST integrations
  • Define coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines for NetSuite SDF
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, third-party integrations, and platform constraints
  • Drive automated testing, regression suites, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Design, develop, and maintain commercial SuiteApp modules for supply chain workflows
  • Build scalable multi-tenant architectures compliant with NetSuite ISV SuiteApp certification standards
  • Ensure development meets NetSuite governance, performance, and security requirements
  • Maintain existing modules through bug fixes, refactoring, and feature enhancements
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, 1:1s, and technical growth plans
  • Collaborate with Product Management on requirements, estimates, and sprint tasks
  • Partner with QA on acceptance criteria, test plans, and quality gates
  • Work with Customer Success and Professional Services on customer escalations
  • Contribute to pre-sales technical discussions and solution demos
  • Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and mitigate technical risks
  • Participate in release management, versioning, and SDF deployments
  • Produce technical documentation, API references, and runbooks

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 4+ years focused on Oracle NetSuite development
  • Hands-on expertise in SuiteScript 2.x (2.0/2.1), including Map/Reduce, Scheduled, Suitelet, RESTlet, Client, and User Event scripts
  • Experience building and shipping commercial ISV SuiteApps
  • Strong understanding of NetSuite data models, especially supply chain and inventory records
  • Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) for version-controlled SuiteApp packaging
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6+ patterns, async/await, and modular design
  • Experience leading an engineering team in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, NetSuite REST Web Services, and SuiteQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex NetSuite governance and performance issues
  • Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer certification preferred
  • Supply chain application experience preferred, including WMS, TMS, ERP procurement, demand planning, or EDI
  • Familiarity with NetSuite WMS and/or Advanced Inventory preferred
  • Experience integrating NetSuite with third-party platforms preferred
  • Exposure to SuiteCommerce/SuiteCommerce Advanced preferred
  • Experience with multi-subsidiary/multi-currency NetSuite implementations preferred
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI for SDF deployments preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL and SuiteAnalytics/SuiteQL preferred
