About the role
- Guidewire technical lead shaping insurance digital transformation at Alithya. Designing scalable architectures, integrations, cloud migrations, and modernization solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, evolve, and govern Guidewire-based solution architectures
- Serve as a technical resource for development teams and guide architectural decisions
- Translate business requirements and architectural guidelines into robust, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- Mentor developers, conduct design and code reviews, and promote best practices
- Define integration strategies with internal and external systems using APIs, web services, and microservices
- Collaborate with architecture advisors, business analysts, QA teams, operations, and technology partners
- Contribute to application modernization, cloud migration, deployment, and support activities
Requirements
- Significant experience in solution architecture or technical leadership in complex environments
- Hands-on expertise with one or more Guidewire modules: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
- Knowledge of Java and Gosu
- Experience with Guidewire configurations and PCF pages, depending on the role
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP integrations, service-oriented architectures, and microservices approaches
- Strong understanding of the property and casualty insurance industry
- Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient English
- Proficient French
- Guidewire Associate, Specialist, or ACE certifications are an extra edge
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud, Azure, or AWS is an extra edge
