About the role

  • Senior Event Consultant planning conferences, meetings, and corporate events for Allstate Canada, a home and auto insurer. Managing logistics, budgets, technologies, SLAs, and KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and implement all aspects of in-house meetings, conferences, and assigned events
  • Lead a meeting support/conference planning team when required
  • Maintain accurate and complete budget reports, reconciliation, and post-event follow-up
  • Review and analyze event outcomes to determine effectiveness
  • Research, recommend, and develop technologies to enhance conference planning and meeting support, including reservation and communication technology
  • Assist with project management activities on capital conference space renovations
  • Document processes and procedures for special events and high-profile meetings
  • Assist in creating SLAs and KPIs and ensure they are met
  • Prepare, manage, and reconcile budgets and review billing for accuracy
  • Work with internal and external clients to plan and coordinate event and meeting logistics
  • Review internal processes and recommend cost-reduction and efficiency strategies

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to plan, manage, and implement in-house meetings, conferences, and events
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete budget reports, reconciliation, and post-event follow-up
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing event outcomes
  • Ability to research and develop technologies for conference planning and meeting support
  • Ability to assist with project management activities
  • Ability to document processes and procedures
  • Ability to create and meet SLAs and KPIs
  • Ability to prepare, manage, and reconcile budgets and review billing for accuracy
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients to coordinate event logistics
