About the role
- Home-based VIP Travel Counselor arranging complex corporate air, rail, road, and hotel bookings. Providing high-touch service and proactive travel advice for Amex GBT clients.
Responsibilities
- Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers, including individuals and groups
- Arrange and book domestic and international business travel for air, road, rail, and accommodations
- Use Global Distribution Systems including Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo
- Communicate with customers by telephone, messaging/chat, email, and/or back-office systems
- Provide proactive travel advice and sell additional services while adhering to company travel policies
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet business and account-specific goals, including customer satisfaction, call adherence, and service metrics
- Provide high-touch travel service for top Amex GBT clients from a home-based work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in travel, preferably business travel
- Understanding of fares and ticketing rules for car, air, and hotel
- Native GDS expertise with Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Ability to act with integrity and protect personal traveler information
- Strong understanding of the travel industry, including business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation backgrounds
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently
- Teamwork and openness to feedback
- Flexibility to work afternoon shifts (12–8pm) and weekends
- Ability to work in a 24/7 Traveler Care operation
