About the role
- Remote Travel Consultant arranging complex corporate air, road, rail, and hotel travel using Sabre. Serving Amex GBT business clients while anticipating traveler needs and resolving booking issues.
Responsibilities
- Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers, including individuals and groups
- Analyze and research travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
- Arrange and book domestic and international business travel across air, road, rail, and accommodations
- Use the Sabre Global Distribution System
- Ensure compliance with customers’ agreed travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
- Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
- Collaborate with the team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
Requirements
- Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
- Native GDS expertise, specifically Sabre
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Integrity and ability to protect personal traveler information
- Strong understanding of the travel industry through business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservations
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently or with suppliers
- Teamwork and openness to feedback
- Flexibility to work a shift anytime between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
