About the role

  • Director leading sales strategy, negotiations, and growth for Apotex’s largest corporate accounts. Driving profitable pharmaceutical partnerships and account performance from North York.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sales performance for assigned corporate accounts and meet or exceed annual sales targets
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly account plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with designated accounts and provide Apotex offerings and services
  • Monitor client and account sales performance and satisfaction, taking corrective action when needed
  • Negotiate client contracts and agreements while maximizing sales value and ensuring policy compliance
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry opportunities and trends
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Development, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Ensure sales forecast accuracy and inventory targets at the account, customer, and product levels
  • Represent Apotex at trade shows, conferences, and customer events
  • Report actual sales and forecasted performance to sales management
  • Create and manage OPEX budgets for the assigned territory
  • Lead and participate in internal strategic growth initiatives
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends, issues, and innovations
  • Report suspected adverse drug reactions to Global Pharmacovigilance according to corporate SOPs
  • Follow safety, compliance, quality, environmental, HR, and business ethics policies

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant industry experience, including selling and management experience in retail, hospital, or similar selling environments
  • Strong, clear, and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and coaching skills
  • Flexibility, reliability, goal orientation, and initiative
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, make decisions based on imperfect information, and thrive in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Skilled negotiator and consensus builder
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex deals
  • Bilingual French preferred
