About the role
- Co-op student working with Disaster and Climate Resilience Solutions Team in Vancouver. Engaging in research and project implementation related to climate adaptation and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Support research, analysis, and engagement activities
- Conduct literature reviews and background research on climate hazards and vulnerabilities
- Review Canadian and international case studies
- Support climate and hazard data collection
- Develop maps and graphic materials
- Support public and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare clear technical content for municipal audiences.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or graduate level degree in civil or environmental engineering, urban studies, development planning, geography, natural resources, public policy, or relevant field
- Familiarity working with GIS software (i.e., ESRI or QGIS)
