About the role

  • Co-op student working with Disaster and Climate Resilience Solutions Team in Vancouver. Engaging in research and project implementation related to climate adaptation and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Support research, analysis, and engagement activities
  • Conduct literature reviews and background research on climate hazards and vulnerabilities
  • Review Canadian and international case studies
  • Support climate and hazard data collection
  • Develop maps and graphic materials
  • Support public and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Prepare clear technical content for municipal audiences.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or graduate level degree in civil or environmental engineering, urban studies, development planning, geography, natural resources, public policy, or relevant field
  • Familiarity working with GIS software (i.e., ESRI or QGIS)
