Global Strategic PMO Director driving enterprise planning and governance for Arc’teryx, an outdoor apparel company. Aligning cross-functional initiatives, funding, roadmaps, and executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Drive integrated planning, prioritization, governance, and decision making for enterprise-level strategic and cross-functional projects
Partner with the VP of Global Strategy and business leaders across functions and regions
Establish governance and decision forums for complex enterprise initiatives
Embed strategic priorities into planning and governance processes across AC, Product Operations, Technology, and Finance
Align priorities, secure funding, and resolve competing demands on organizational capacity
Manage the overall project portfolio of emerging special projects
Manage relationships with external consultants and specialized partners
Facilitate prioritization and present key decisions in governance forums
Translate strategic priorities and cross-functional demand into an integrated roadmap
Focus delivery capacity on initiatives with the greatest strategic and business impact
Source, brief, and manage consultants and external partners against defined deliverables
Recommend solutions to competing priorities and escalate unresolved issues with trade-off analysis
Monitor initiative health against milestones and proactively escalate risks
Build standing forums, reporting rhythms, and documentation for leadership alignment
Align initiative-level work with the LTSP/AOP planning calendar
Orchestrate cross-functional working teams in a matrixed environment
Build a repeatable playbook for launching new enterprise initiatives
Shape collaboration with Product/GTM Operations on the multi-year roadmap and drive accountability and execution
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy or related field
10+ years of experience in program management, strategy operations, or management consulting
Ideally, exposure to a matrixed, multi-region organization
Track record of establishing governance for complex, cross-functional initiatives from scratch
Experience scoping, briefing, and managing external consultants or agency partners
Ability to operate without formal authority through clarity, credibility, and effective trade-off communication
Ability to manage multiple initiatives at different stages simultaneously
Ability to identify when risks require escalation
Concise and confident communication with senior stakeholders
Ability to distill complex, multi-function status into a clear point of view
Comfort with ambiguity in a growing function
Genuine interest in the outdoor industry and Arc'teryx ethos is an asset, not a prerequisite
