About the role

  • Materials Coordinator supporting Arc’teryx’s Raw Materials Development Team. Coordinating textile data, testing, supplier meetings, and seasonal material commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the textile team runs smoothly by providing highly organized administrative support
  • Bridge material developers’ work to cross-functional business needs
  • Ensure data integrity across Centric PLM, material trackers, and libraries
  • Prepare seasonal material validation tech packs for handoff to the Quality team and meet calendar deadlines
  • Schedule cross-functional and supplier meetings
  • Support internal and external textile testing and evaluation using custom and industry-standard lab testing
  • Assist with fabric-specific end-use field testing programs
  • Overhaul historical Centric PLM data with current fabric specifications, test reports, NMF, and development status
  • Prepare digital and physical material boards for seasonal stage-gate reviews
  • Coordinate reporting and metrics for the RMD manager
  • Maintain lab equipment maintenance schedules
  • Develop design-facing seasonal material briefs
  • Contribute to cross-functional discussions with designers, merchants, and suppliers
  • Develop holistic knowledge of product categories to apply material solutions across categories

Requirements

  • 1+ years of apparel/equipment industry experience related to trims and/or materials
  • Degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Textile Design or equivalent industry experience
  • Passion for data engineering and organization
  • Developed skills in digital data programs such as Microsoft Excel and cloud-based information
  • Interest and general understanding of textile manufacturing
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM systems
  • Physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • Commitment to seeking effective solutions and doing what is right
