Senior Technical Specialist safeguarding Arc’teryx apparel quality and manufacturing standards. Leading technical reviews, risk management, vendor capability, and product integrity across global manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert for apparel product integrity, including construction methods, manufacturing processes, quality standards, product risk assessment, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Lead identification and evaluation of Critical-to-Quality construction elements during product development and prototyping
Lead technical reviews and risk assessments throughout the product creation lifecycle
Partner with Design, Materials Development, Advanced Concepts, Product Development, Pattern/Fit, and Manufacturing teams
Provide Product Integrity leadership during research, development, and commercialization
Conduct quality reviews, DFM assessments, and technical evaluations of new materials, constructions, and product concepts
Review and approve technical documentation, construction standards, tech packs, and quality requirements
Own and evolve Technical Quality Reviews and product risk evaluation processes
Guide field testing, product assessments, and validation activities
Lead complex root-cause investigations and technical problem-solving initiatives
Establish and improve construction standards, quality standards, operating procedures, and best practices
Build partnerships with vendors and manufacturing partners to drive technical capability, process improvements, and quality performance
Represent Product Integrity in strategic cross-functional forums and communicate risks, trade-offs, recommendations, and quality implications
Mentor, coach, and develop Technical Specialists
Drive continuous improvement using quality data, field performance insights, manufacturing feedback, and consumer learnings
Contribute to departmental objectives, strategic initiatives, and long-term capability development
Shape Design for Manufacturing frameworks and develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis methodologies
Advance the Technical Quality Review framework with risk scoring and predictive quality indicators
Define testing protocols, data collection methodologies, performance metrics, and feedback integration processes
Evaluate emerging technologies, testing methodologies, and industry best practices
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or a Diploma in a relevant field such as Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Material Science, Fashion, Clothing Technology, or Quality/Engineering/Manufacturing
10+ years of progressive experience in apparel manufacturing and quality management
Deep expertise in apparel construction, material properties, and global manufacturing practices
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor teams, and influence strategic decisions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and alignment
Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM systems
Passion for innovation and commitment to maintaining brand integrity
Ability to travel and work in a hybrid environment
