About the role

  • VP leading Arc’teryx global consumer insights and data strategy for outdoor brand growth. Translating consumer data into brand decisions, innovation, and enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Arc’teryx’s Consumer Insights vision
  • Embed the voice of the consumer into brand and business strategy, decision making, and long-term growth
  • Influence critical business and brand decisions through compelling storytelling and foresight
  • Lead the growth of consumer insights capabilities, operating models, and tools
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global Consumer Insights team, including organizational design, capability building, and succession planning
  • Set the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the global Consumer Insights function
  • Serve as the enterprise leader and trusted advisor for consumer insights
  • Embed a consumer-first operating model and insight-led perspectives across functions, regions, and business units
  • Translate complex, multi-source data into clear narratives
  • Lead advanced analytics, including predictive, prescriptive, and AI-driven approaches, next-generation measurement, and marketing effectiveness/ROI tools
  • Design and scale global insights operating models and enterprise frameworks, including tools, platforms, KPIs, and standardized methodologies
  • Build strategic external partnerships with agencies, data providers, and industry experts
  • Lead consumer segmentation and consolidate enterprise data and insights systems
  • Anticipate emerging consumer behaviors and market dynamics to unlock acquisition, retention, and growth opportunities
  • Support executive leadership by aggregating commercial, product, and business data to inform enterprise growth strategy

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience across brand, consumer insights, and strategy functions
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Proven capability building consumer insights strategies and frameworks
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive leadership and translating insights into brand strategy, positioning, and global brand-building initiatives
  • Strong analytical and technical fluency, including advanced analytics, predictive modeling, AI-driven insights, and consumer data ingestion, integration, and governance across a multi-market environment
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders and drive action
  • Proven people leadership, including setting clear vision, aligning global teams and cross-functional partners, and building high-performing, diverse organizations within a complex matrix environment
  • Knowledge of technical apparel, outdoor, performance, or premium lifestyle categories
  • In-depth understanding of the outdoor industry and the consumer culture Arc'teryx targets
  • Genuine passion for getting outside
