About the role

  • Field Sales Representative selling Richardson RFPD’s RF, wireless, IoT, and power components. Developing Quebec and Maritimes customer relationships, demand creation, and strategic sales plans.

Responsibilities

  • Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned sales territory
  • Plan strategy and develop key relationships to establish a foundation for solution selling
  • Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts determining design opportunities
  • Address existing business challenges and ensure customer satisfaction related to supply chain management and value-added services
  • Develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
  • Sell and market Richardson RFPD offerings using knowledge of key supplier lines
  • Prepare comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (iQBRs), presenting strategic plans and implementation steps to grow sales, create demand, and improve customer service
  • Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities
  • Promote and sell value-added, supply chain, and full life cycle programs
  • Solve complex problems using existing solutions and apply best practices to improve products, services, or processes
  • Interact with customers across Quebec and Maritimes Canadian markets
  • Participate in a sales compensation plan with variable OTE tied to sales-related goals

Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a manufacturer representative or distributor in RF/Microwave and power electronics semiconductors and IP&E sales is a key advantage
  • Experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
  • Extensive understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry
  • Comprehensive ability to develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of Richardson RFPD’s key supplier lines
  • Proficiency in sales tracking systems, SalesForce.com, and Oracle
  • Ability to build relationships with key suppliers
  • Travel required up to 10-15% throughout territory
  • Ability to redact or remove age-identifying information in submitted materials
