About the role
- Developer Advocate creating SDKs, samples, tutorials, and MCP integrations for Autodesk Platform Services. Supporting developers and partners using Autodesk APIs and generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Evangelize, enable, and support developers building solutions on Autodesk Platform Services and related Autodesk APIs
- Create sample applications, SDKs, and reference code demonstrating best practices
- Produce tutorials, how-to guides, blog posts, and short demos for communities and events
- Provide technical support and triage for partners and customers integrating APS APIs
- Reproduce issues and coordinate fixes with engineering
- Work with product and engineering teams to influence API design and improve developer experience
- Maintain runbooks and onboarding flows
- Deliver reference implementations and example code for Model Context Protocol servers and clients
- Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate prototypes, sample generation, and documentation while ensuring output quality and security
Requirements
- 3+ years software engineering or developer-facing experience (web/cloud/native)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and modern web/cloud stacks
- Ability to produce clean, tested sample code
- Strong understanding of authentication/authorization patterns, including OAuth2 flows and service accounts
- Secure integration practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort presenting to technical audiences
- Prior developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering experience preferred
- Experience with APS/Forge or familiarity with Autodesk product APIs preferred
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python or .NET; Docker and cloud deployment patterns preferred
- Familiarity with MCP server/client patterns or agentic AI integration concepts is a plus
