Field Adjuster assessing residential property claims for Aviva Canada’s insurance customers. Inspecting damage, preparing estimates, determining coverage, and settling claims across the Greater Calgary Area.
Responsibilities
Complete on-site and/or virtual inspections of residential property claims
Capture the scope of damages and write repair estimates to settle claims
Reconcile and validate vendor estimates to ensure price and scope are appropriate
Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers to obtain facts and information
Review facts, policies, technical reports, fire marshal reports, and case law
Make decisions on coverage and claim value, and negotiate/settle claims accordingly
Provide exemplary customer service and keep related parties informed of claims status
Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies
Assist during CATs within Canada
Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers, and other interested parties
Requirements
2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Personal Lines claims
Strong understanding of Property Insurance
Preference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairs
Good PC skills and adaptability using new technology
Valid driver's license
