About the role

  • Vendor Relationship Manager improving property-claims vendor performance for Aviva Canada. Using analytics, governance, and change management to reduce costs and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for vendor-related inquiries
  • Track, develop, and analyze data to assess vendor performance
  • Identify trends and gaps to improve NPS, cycle time, indemnity spend, and other business metrics
  • Resolve appropriate vendor coverage
  • Use financial data to identify savings opportunities and build detailed business plans with recommendations
  • Assist with vendor-related complaints and disputes
  • Provide operational oversight for vendor agreement, SLA, and contract negotiations and evaluations
  • Partner with Procurement, Aviva Legal, and cross-functional teams on supplier governance
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and share findings
  • Lead development of tools and templates supporting ongoing strategy
  • Identify, evaluate, monitor, and escalate vendor relationship deficiencies and associated client and operational risks
  • Evaluate vendor relationships and contracts to ensure value, quality, and innovation
  • Coordinate vendor efforts during catastrophic events and ensure reporting requirements are met
  • Act as a Change Champion and drive continuous improvement of vendor performance
  • Engage the community for feedback
  • Participate in in-person client and team meetings

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Relationship Management, Vendor Management, Account Management, or similar roles
  • Knowledge of French and English is an asset, verbally and in writing
  • Previous experience in property restoration is preferred
  • University degree in business, finance, or another related field is preferred
  • Operational Improvement and/or Project Management certification preferred
  • Significant metric/result-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of finance fundamentals
  • Proven track record of delivering financial savings and customer experience improvements
  • Validated sophisticated leadership skills
  • Validated courage and self-confidence
  • Ability to mediate conflict and resolve issues by identifying alternative solutions
  • Strong change management skills and comfort evolving in an environment where change is the norm
  • Approximately 25% travel required
