About the role
- Senior Travel Consultant booking and managing compliant business travel for BCD Travel, which simplifies corporate travel through digital experiences. Advising clients on policies, fares, regulations, and reservations.
Responsibilities
- Search and confirm travel reservations for customers
- Consult customers consistently based on client travel policies
- Fulfill requests regarding DOT, TSA, passports, visas, and other necessary regulations
- Provide industry information including low fares, exchange costs, and penalties
- Review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients and suggest improvements
- Maintain, actively communicate, and expand current knowledge of supported travel industries
- Communicate with and respond to current and prospective clients
- Provide customer service to help clients travel smart and achieve more
- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate operational needs
Requirements
- Extensive Travel Agent experience
- Working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
- Advanced skills in GDS Amadeus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong understanding of client travel policies
- Knowledge of DOT, TSA, passport, visa, and other travel regulations
- Flexibility in scheduling is a core requirement
- Ability to work in the United States or Canada
