About the role
- Beneva commercial insurance agent handling business-property and casualty quotes, renewals, and client coverage advice. Serving bilingual clients across Quebec locations.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls regarding quotes, policy issuance, servicing, changes, cancellations, and renewals for commercial insurance.
- Make outbound solicitation calls to prospects to obtain renewal dates and prepare quotes.
- Update and review selected renewal files and ensure they continue to meet established standards.
- Analyze applications, make external inquiries, and enter insurance transactions into the system.
- Advise clients on the appropriate coverage options and limits required, and inform them of the limitations contained in their policies.
- Coordinate appropriate inspections, analyze inspection reports, assess risks, and complete underwriting files within the scope of delegated authority.
- Select and issue the required correspondence and draft personalized letters for specific situations.
- Make decisions independently within the limits of delegated authority.
Requirements
- College diploma in Insurance and Financial Services.
- Valid commercial lines insurance agent licence issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
