About the role

  • Procurement Consultant supporting professional-services sourcing, bids, contracts, and supplier negotiations. Helping Beneva deliver insurance and financial services through strategic procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a procurement business partner and participate in planning sourcing initiatives for the professional services category
  • Participate in preparing and conducting requests for proposals and calls for candidates
  • Manage the consultant registry
  • Analyze bids and negotiate with suppliers
  • Carry out specific assignments and contribute to projects affecting the department’s operations
  • Analyze specific situations and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Participate in procurement intelligence and market-monitoring activities
  • Contribute to implementing the department’s strategic procurement plan in alignment with the organization’s business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with policies, directives, standards, and procedures related to the acquisition of goods and services
  • Collaborate with internal partners to define and assess business needs for acquiring goods and services
  • Conduct acquisitions through requests for quotations and calls for tenders
  • Draft recommendations, negotiate agreements, and arrange contract execution
  • Monitor implementation, make the necessary adjustments during the contract term, and evaluate suppliers at the end of the contract
  • Manage the procurement process for professional services
  • Develop and maintain business relationships and agreements with suppliers
  • Ensure contract compliance, monitor price trends, and analyze renewals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (a specialization in procurement or supply management is considered an asset), law, or another relevant field
  • At least one year of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the market, practices, trends, and issues related to procurement and insurance sectors (an asset)
  • Functional proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to support the company’s growth objectives
