R&D Imaging Specialist developing machine vision systems for Fleetworthy’s fleet-readiness technology. Improving imaging quality, configurations, and customer solutions across North American fleet sites.
Responsibilities
Design, program, and implement imaging systems, hardware, and software applications
Research and evaluate technologies and methods to improve machine vision image quality, performance, and functionality
Manage assigned projects from start to completion
Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and customers to understand imaging solution requirements and specifications
Test, debug, and troubleshoot imaging systems and software
Resolve escalated issues as a subject matter expert and support customer ticket resolution
Maintain read rates and configuration performance across the Canada and US site network
Document designs, architecture, and system integrations
Present solutions and results to internal and external stakeholders
Evaluate, recommend, and implement technologies for new and existing product ideas
Apply industry best practices to execute ideas from concept to delivery within a collaborative agile team
Requirements
University Degree or diploma in Computer Science, computer engineering or related degree, diploma, and/or applicable work experience
Experience with image processing and/or optics
Strong knowledge and experience in lighting and imaging principles, machine vision techniques, and algorithms
Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, C# and Python
Ability to solve problems in a motivated and methodical manner with high attention to detail
Ability to support applications after deployment and collaborate with development and support teams
Ability to write clean, reliable, and secure C, C++, and C# code following coding best practices
Ability to recognize and prioritize projects and urgent tasks
