About the role
- Project Manager delivering major transportation infrastructure projects for Binnie, a British Columbia engineering firm. Managing Owner’s Engineer and Design Team projects, clients, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and support staff
- Manage major transportation engineering projects on behalf of the Owner’s Engineer Team or Design Team
- Provide direction to staff and subconsultants
- Engage in active business development
- Lead proposals in coordination with the Proposal Team
- Develop project schedules and coordinate resources
- Monitor project budgets and progress
- Proactively support clients and anticipate project needs
- Oversee implementation of the quantity management system and application of design standards for engineering work
- Work with Senior Project Managers and the engineering team to meet client needs and secure new business opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of related technical experience in transportation engineering or project management in a civil engineering environment
- Registration as a P.Eng. preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
- Exceptional project management, design, and time management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and productively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
- Proven conflict resolution capabilities
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work concurrently on several different projects
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work
