About the role

  • Project Manager delivering major transportation infrastructure projects for Binnie, a British Columbia engineering firm. Managing Owner’s Engineer and Design Team projects, clients, schedules, budgets, and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and support staff
  • Manage major transportation engineering projects on behalf of the Owner’s Engineer Team or Design Team
  • Provide direction to staff and subconsultants
  • Engage in active business development
  • Lead proposals in coordination with the Proposal Team
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate resources
  • Monitor project budgets and progress
  • Proactively support clients and anticipate project needs
  • Oversee implementation of the quantity management system and application of design standards for engineering work
  • Work with Senior Project Managers and the engineering team to meet client needs and secure new business opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of related technical experience in transportation engineering or project management in a civil engineering environment
  • Registration as a P.Eng. preferred
  • Demonstrated experience delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
  • Exceptional project management, design, and time management skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • Proven conflict resolution capabilities
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work concurrently on several different projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work
