About the role

  • Senior Security Analyst conducting investigations to assess financial crimes exposure at BMO. Ensuring compliance with risk frameworks and monitoring information systems for potential threats.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations to identify, assess, decision and report on activity that indicates an exposure to financial crimes
  • Ensure potential threats and investigations are evaluated, documented, managed and escalated by following standard operating procedures
  • Provide subject matter expertise and oversight of criminal risk by following a disciplined and intelligence-based approach
  • Stays abreast of financial crimes risk trends, relevant regulations and compliance standards
  • Monitor and analyze various information provided through detection systems
  • Support the collection of evidence and information to be used for incident reports/filings
  • Document actions and information found throughout the investigation
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Execute routine tasks within relevant service level agreements

Requirements

  • Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements as they apply to financial crimes is an asset
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, processes, and organization is an asset
