About the role

BMO mortgage quality specialist reviewing vendors’ residential underwriting practices against bank requirements. Diagnosing errors, coaching stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement remotely in Quebec.

Responsibilities

Support mortgage quality review to verify vendors’ underwriting practices against BMO requirements
Execute work and audit files to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery
Ensure consistent, high-quality practices and achievement of business results aligned with business and group strategies and productivity goals
Analyze root causes of underwriting errors to enable effective communication and coaching
Provide ongoing support for continuous improvement of the business unit
Think creatively and propose new solutions
Identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
Work mostly independently
Perform broader work or accountabilities as assigned

Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience
Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
Residential mortgage underwriting experience highly preferred
Proficiency in both English and French required
Fluent in French and English to support business operations outside Quebec
In-depth verbal and written communication skills in English and French
In-depth collaboration and team skills
In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work mostly independently
