About the role
- Loan operations specialist improving credit policies, loan administration and risk controls for FCC, Canada’s agriculture and food financing Crown corporation. Reviewing complex files and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate throughout FCC and with solicitors or notaries to evaluate processes and policies
- Act as a liaison and subject matter expert for loan administration, procedures and policies
- Consult external experts to resolve unusual collateral or contract issues
- Review documents on complex and higher risk loan files to ensure risks are being mitigated
- Recommend process and system improvements and implement them with relevant supervisors
- Define and deliver data reporting requirements through own work or by communicating requirements to IT partners
- Mentor and coach co-workers using expertise and experience
- Analyze existing policies and procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and implement practical loan administration solutions
Requirements
- A degree in a related field and at least three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with loan management systems and applications
- Two years of lending, mortgage, banking services, credit products or legal field related experience
- Bilingualism in English and French preferred
