About the role

  • Personal Insurance leader managing BrokerLink’s Cold Lake and Bonnyville teams. Driving sales, profitability, staffing, coaching, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Personal Insurance operations for the respective team to achieve growth and profitability targets
  • Implement and monitor objectives related to commission revenue, policy count, accounts receivable, book quality and expenses
  • Communicate, implement and monitor strategies to attain goals and objectives
  • Work with Personal Insurance Managers and the Regional Leader to ensure service and sales meet expected standards
  • Analyze and resolve quality, customer service and sales problems collaboratively
  • Lead staffing and provide leadership for the team
  • Motivate staff to participate in company objectives and keep front-line staff informed of changes or new directions
  • Develop succession planning for key positions
  • Manage general team administration, including IT, payroll and human resource changes
  • Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback to direct reports
  • Facilitate continuous learning and development
  • Support and participate in community marketing, advertising initiatives and sales trade shows

Requirements

  • AIC - General Level 2 or equivalent is required
  • Insurance designation (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or AIIC) is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, with personal lines sales experience
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • Demonstrated sales acumen, with the ability to coach and develop others
  • Proven change management capability
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities; exceptional organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Brokerage Management Systems and tools (EPIC) is an asset
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment
  • Regional travel is required as needed
