About the role
- Staff Accountant managing accounts receivable, payables, reconciliations, and month-end close for Buildots’ construction intelligence platform. Supporting scalable finance operations across US and Canadian entities from Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and issue invoices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Track and update customer project billing status and ensure timely collections
- Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable via Dokka and Mesh
- Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliation
- Process employee expense reports via Expensify
- Reconcile employee accounts, including expense reimbursements and leave adjustments
- Support monthly end-close processes, including accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with annual audit processes and external reporting
- Prepare ad-hoc working papers and financial analysis
- Contribute to improving and scaling financial processes
- Work closely with the finance team in Israel
Requirements
- Certified Bookkeeper (AIPB or equivalent) - advantage
- 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a Hi-Tech or multinational company - required
- Experience with foreign entities and multi-entity bookkeeping/accounting - required
- Experience with US and/or Canadian GAAP - advantage
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with NetSuite - advantage
- Experience with Mesh and Expensify - advantage
- Team player, service-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
