About the role

  • Environmental Administrative Coordinator supporting Bureau Veritas’ Canadian environmental business. Maintaining training, quality management software, vendor evaluations, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Create trainee profiles for all Environmental LOB personnel across Canada, assign general qualification definitions for quality assurance and safety, and archive trainee profiles as required
  • Publish Custom Dashboards to Environmental LOB personnel as required
  • Maintain training matrices to ensure consistent application of general training requirements
  • Assist operational personnel with trainee profile enquiries
  • Manage evaluations of externally provided services, interacting with vendors and subcontractors to ensure records are complete, approved, accessible, and meet defined requirements
  • Assist with maintaining Quality Management software to ensure functionality is fit for purpose and consistent across the network
  • Compile and report key performance metrics for the Environmental LOB
  • Compile quality metrics data for statistical analysis
  • Prepare Quality Management software documentation for approved external use as required
  • Coordinate with Laboratory Operations, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Legal, Purchasing, and Human Resources, as well as vendors and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or BSc with a focus on Chemistry/Laboratory Science or a related discipline preferred
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control protocols, including familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 preferred
  • Hands-on experience with bench level laboratory practices and procedures is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and drive to produce quality results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and complex issues with discretion and good judgment
  • Ability to coordinate effectively and promptly with multiple locations via MS Teams, phone, email, or in person
  • Some evenings, weekends, and out-of-town travel may be required
