Responsibilities
Research, design and implement Proof of Concepts for AI platforms, tools and services that will directly streamline and improve the outcomes and results of the following security activities: Detection & Response.
Determine how AI can be used to define and tune detection capabilities to identify malicious activity in our Cloud environments.
Explore how AI help remediate risks before they occur and prevent vulnerability exploitation.
Evaluate how AI can automate security processes, reducing manual chores and improving efficiency.
Determine how AI can secure public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures while ensuring compliance with standards.
Evaluate how AI can be used to analyze complex log data in real time to detect never before seen attacks.
Document all research, proof of concept implementations and generate a final recommendation report for each AI tool, service or platform investigated.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
Foundational understanding of OS internals (Linux/Windows), network protocols (TCP/IP), and cloud security principles.
Ability to read and write scripts in a modern language (Python preferred, PowerShell/Bash).
Experience in "labs"—whether that's network simulators, personal projects, or cybersecurity "Capture the Flag" (CTF) platforms.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
