About the role

  • Learning Specialist developing workplace mental health curricula and resources for CMHA Ontario’s workforce resilience initiative. Leading training adaptation, digital learning, quality assurance, and customized workshops across Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt and enhance CMHA Ontario’s Mental Health Works curriculum for the business community
  • Lead updates and development of workplace mental health training
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant resources, and implementation tools
  • Support digital learning pathway development with project partners
  • Oversee curriculum, modules, and training materials using quality improvement practices
  • Incorporate current research, workplace trends, mental health, EDIAA, and psychological health and safety best practices
  • Coordinate French translation with external vendors
  • Ensure materials comply with trademark, copyright, visual identity, and intellectual property requirements
  • Liaise with evaluation, trainer/facilitator, and other internal resource positions on quality assurance and evaluation
  • Support community educator onboarding, training, and development opportunities
  • Lead customized workshops for project clients
  • Assist with workplace resources supporting employer engagement and workforce resilience
  • Ensure learning resources align with the approved workplan and performance commitments
  • Attend regular meetings with project team members and CMHA Ontario
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in curriculum development with adult learners
  • Experience in the mental health, healthcare or business/workplace wellness fields
  • Experience developing learning modules, workshop/participant materials, training materials, and other curriculum components
  • Certification/designation in a relevant healthcare or related field (e.g. RP, BSW, MSW, SSW, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to design curricula in plain language related to mental health and addictions
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging training and development sessions
  • Familiarity with equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racism best practices
  • Experience and training in project management is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with mental health promotion, health equity, and social determinants of health is an asset
  • Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector, workplace mental health, and the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience applying judgment, initiative, and discretion with confidential, legal, and/or sensitive information
  • Strong strategic thinking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook), database management, and email software
  • G Class license is a strong asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment
  • Ability to work standard office hours and travel regularly as required
