About the role

  • Delivery Program Manager orchestrating multi-squad POS and in-store technology initiatives for Canadian Tire. Managing plans, governance, resources, risks, budgets, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support a portfolio of work in the Store Tech platform group, focusing on POS platforms and in-store applications
  • Develop comprehensive program plans defining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Identify and engage executives, business sponsors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Maintain regular communication to manage expectations, gather feedback, and ensure buy-in
  • Establish program governance structures, including steering committees or advisory boards
  • Coordinate and allocate resources across multiple squads
  • Identify and assess program risks
  • Monitor squad delivery progress, KPIs, and milestones
  • Oversee changes to program scope, schedule, and budget
  • Facilitate program closure upon successful completion
  • Establish guidelines and provide training and guidance to team members across squads
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, accruals, invoice processing, and variance analysis

Requirements

  • Experience delivering complex initiatives across multiple platforms, with emphasis on In Store Applications
  • Key stakeholder relations and business/performance optimization experience
  • Ability to define project outcomes, MVPs, epics, user stories, releases, and milestones
  • Experience developing and managing resource plans leveraging FTEs and globally distributed partner resources
  • Ability to identify, assess, mitigate, escalate, and communicate risks impacting scope, timeline, and budget
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban
  • Product lifecycle management experience
  • Proficiency with Planview, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira/Jira Align, Lucid, Delivery Central, and Confluence
  • Financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, invoice processing, and variance analysis
  • Outcome-focused mindset, action orientation, critical thinking, problem solving, stakeholder management, effective communication, facilitation, collaboration, empathy, and emotional intelligence
