About the role

Part-time shift leader overseeing Canna Cabana cannabis retail operations in Banff. Supervising staff, driving sales, supporting customers, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the SM or ASM
Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues as needed
Provide direction, guidance, and instruction to store associates
Ensure store conditions meet established standards
Assist with staffing levels when requested
Act as sales and customer service leader/role model in the absence of the SM/ASM
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are upheld
Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
Ensure health, safety, and security regulations and standards are met on shift
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and remain accountable for inventory processes on shift

Must have valid SellSafe Certification
Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
Demonstrated sales and service orientation required
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; Cannabis industry preferred
Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
Skills to monitor and lead by example as required
Basic office administration skills required
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Well-defined sense of diplomacy
Excellent teamwork and team-building skills
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude essential
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
