About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst supporting Fidelity Canada’s investment management finance operations. Leading forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business planning, forecasting, and reporting across responsible areas
  • Identify and include relevant sales, assets, and direct and indirect resources in long-term business plans
  • Consolidate and analyze data from varied sources to complete accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Complete monthly and quarterly forecasts using historical trends and current sales projections
  • Deliver accurate business performance reporting and insights for decision-making
  • Lead reporting enhancements and improvements
  • Automate and improve reporting and analysis using tools such as PowerBI
  • Identify and implement process optimization through automation, standardization, and new technologies
  • Develop end-to-end financial models and conduct sensitivity analysis
  • Lead analysis and presentation efforts supporting strategic decision-making
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models
  • Develop understanding of Fidelity’s products and cost structure to support business partners
  • Communicate with cross-functional collaborators on non-standard requests
  • Coordinate Finance support across Accounting, Tax, Analytics, and Reporting for business projects
  • Determine and coordinate collaborators and information for monthly financial projections, cases, and financial models
  • Support Fidelity Canada Investment Management as part of the Finance Business Support team
  • Report to the Director of Finance Operations & Insights

Requirements

  • Current work authorization for Canada is required
  • University degree with a focus in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a Financial Analysis role within a Finance department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create complex financial models and sensitivity analysis
  • Strong financial and business insight, translating financial concepts into business terminology
  • Demonstrated time management and project management fundamentals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where business conditions and projects continually change
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience collaborating with peers, managers, and leaders
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and partners, and within Finance
