About the role

  • Student advisor-sales role supporting Fidelity Canada’s investment-product sales teams. Conducting fund analysis, market research, reports and presentations across Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team to maintain a high level of client servicing
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities to drive the business forward
  • Understand how Fidelity products and services are presented to investment professionals
  • Partner with sales teams to learn the sales process from start to finish
  • Learn about current market trends through presentations from Fidelity portfolio managers
  • Conduct fund analysis, create reports and deliver presentations
  • Gain cross-functional knowledge of all areas of Fidelity

Requirements

  • Working towards a university degree with a concentration in finance, commerce, economics, or business
  • Keen interest and knowledge of the financial industry and capital markets
  • Ability to manage short-term database projects and assist in sales initiatives
  • Ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities by gathering competitive and marketplace intelligence
  • Currently enrolled in a registered co-op program
  • Available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term
  • Resume, cover letter and transcript required
  • Current work authorization for Canada required
