About the role

  • Enterprise Architect shaping software and platform architecture for CBC/Radio-Canada’s public broadcasting technology. Driving enterprise architecture governance, modernization and business alignment across hybrid work locations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and promote a common vision of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Establish direction on roles, responsibilities and priorities with stakeholders.
  • Lead the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture practice and shift from IT-centric to business-centric architecture.
  • Connect enterprise architecture with data governance, risk management and information security, and monitor implementation and effectiveness.
  • Design, document and communicate current and target state architectures for major initiatives and vendor-driven system replacements.
  • Document high-level architecture covering business processes, data, applications and technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure enterprise investments align with business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with organizational policies, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance processes and standards.
  • Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for the organization.
  • Coach and mentor architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Report to the Director of Software and Platform Architecture.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business (or related experience).
  • Five or more years of enterprise architecture and/or business experience in strategic and operations planning.
  • Ten or more years of experience in solution or technical architecture and application development.
  • Knowledge of SaaS, cloud platforms, on-premises and hybrid solutions.
  • Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, graphical models and frameworks.
  • Understanding of project-centric and product-centric operating models.
  • Effective leadership, teamwork, facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with remote teams.
  • English and French language skills; bilingualism is identified as a strong asset.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
  • Successful candidates must complete a mandatory criminal record check and potentially other background checks.
