About the role
- Senior Analyst validating emerging technologies through prototypes, test beds, and proofs of concept. Advancing CBC/Radio-Canada’s public service media technology innovation.
Responsibilities
- Configure test beds, deploy hardware and software, and evaluate emerging cloud technologies for live and near-live production environments
- Lead proofs of concept, lab trials and technical demonstrations while capturing performance metrics
- Prepare, code and document test scripts, lab configurations and deployment guidelines
- Research and architect practical, innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
- Record test results, isolate bugs and develop workarounds to validate technical hypotheses
- Track technical milestones across test sprints and report deviations or blockers
- Review technical requirements, present experimental data and explore solutions with colleagues, system designers and project leads
- Provide technical guidance to delivery and operations teams during technology handoffs
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence and wikis for architecture standards and operational best practices
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or a related field
- One to three years of hands-on technical experience in software development, system administration or systems integration within an R&D or lab environment
- Proven ability to quickly master emerging tech stacks, software architectures and development tools
- Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts
