Responsibilities
Provide technical pre-sales guidance to Security Sellers and territory account teams
Showcase Cisco security product solutions and set up demonstrations
Explain solution features and benefits to customers
Design and configure products to address specific customer security needs
Build relationships with customers’ key decision-makers
Develop architectures and configure products in collaboration with technology experts
Lead the technical aspects of pre-sales activities
Position Cisco security solutions against competing offerings
Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics
Position and promote the value proposition of Cisco security architecture
Explain Cisco product and business strategies
Generate demand to support deal closure
Serve as a subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions
Translate customer business requirements into technical requirements
Understand and articulate Cisco security architecture and services
Create, present, and document technical solutions
Deliver detailed and high-level technical presentations to customers, partners, and prospects
Drive major account opportunities through technical consulting, executive presentations, and Cisco technology solutions, while local account teams retain long-term ownership
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of technical sales or pre-sales experience
2+ years of experience specializing in security
Experience with Email Security, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewall, and Advanced Malware Protection technologies
Proven track record of managing and winning high-value, technical IT security projects
Experience administering Unix/Linux systems
Experience with low-layer, packet-level IP networking
Thorough understanding of network security
Proficiency in Cloud and SaaS technologies
Experience selling to Commercial, Enterprise, and/or Service Provider accounts
Written and verbal proficiency in English and French
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent, highly preferred
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently without day-to-day supervision
Experience with Cisco security technologies
