About the role

  • Director leading global GTM capacity planning, territories, quotas, and compensation at Clio, a legal AI technology company. Advising Sales, Customer Success, and Finance leadership on scalable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global GTM capacity planning and quota-setting across Sales and Customer Success
  • Develop quota-setting methodologies grounded in market opportunity, historical performance, and productivity expectations
  • Partner with Finance and GTM leadership on capacity models, ramp assumptions, productivity, hiring requirements, and scenario planning
  • Establish analytics to monitor capacity, quota attainment, and productivity and inform in-year adjustments
  • Own quota exceptions, relief policies, disputes, territory design, account segmentation, assignments, and territory changes
  • Own and evolve global GTM compensation and rewards strategy across SMB and Enterprise segments
  • Design, model, and optimize Sales and Customer Success compensation plans, pay mix, quotas, accelerators, SPIFFs, and performance levers
  • Lead compensation effectiveness reviews and ensure plans support revenue predictability, margin targets, and financial planning
  • Develop and deliver compensation education and enablement programs
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant compensation processing with Payroll, Finance, HR, Legal, and Revenue Operations
  • Establish compensation governance, principles, decision frameworks, communications, documentation, timelines, and appeals processes
  • Govern and improve Clio’s Forma.ai compensation and commission system, driving automation and self-service
  • Champion automation, self-service, and AI capabilities across planning and compensation
  • Lead, coach, and develop GTM planning and compensation teams
  • Build scalable processes and cross-functional planning rhythms with Finance, HR, and GTM leadership
  • Support change management for new plans, territories, tools, and policies across regions

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SaaS or technology, with direct ownership of capacity planning, territory, quota, and compensation design
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic advisor to senior GTM and Finance leaders
  • Excellent executive-level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience leading and developing teams, with a focus on coaching and accountability
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and comfort handling sensitive information
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, make high-quality decisions with incomplete data, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Action oriented, ownership driven mindset with a strong bias toward impact and results
  • Proven ability to develop presentations with strong visual storytelling
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience translating measurements into recommendations, connecting multiple data sources, and building dashboards in CRMA, Looker, Tableau, or Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques
  • Fluency in Salesforce data and at least one planning or ICM platform
