About the role
- Accounting Technician processing petroleum freight, reconciliations, and reporting for Federated Co-operatives Limited. Supporting Western Canadian co-ops through accurate corporate accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Batch, key, and adjust meter tickets
- Confirm freight information and follow up on missing or rejected EDI tickets from CCRL
- Code and process freight charges for common carriers and lease operators
- Track and pay lease operator holdbacks
- Set up unconfirmed freight
- Prepare cost/sales and petroleum operations reports
- Assist with month-end activities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and common carrier claims from distribution centres
- Perform other duties as required
- Collaborate with five other Accounting Technicians and report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two (2) post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution
- One year of relevant accounting experience
- Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- May be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies
