About the role
- In-home window treatment Designer selling custom blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. Guiding customers through design, quoting, ordering, and installation for Hunter Douglas’ Custom Decorators.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Custom Decorators as an in-home custom window treatment Designer
- Guide customers on custom interior blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and outdoor roller shades
- Provide expert guidance on products and in-home design needs
- Quote prices in clients’ homes
- Enter and track orders
- Access product installation schedules
- Manage customer projects from creative concept through ordering and installation
- Sell custom window treatments using an industry-proven sales process
- Work with client services satisfaction and dedicated sales support teams
Requirements
- Previous sales experience required
- In-home sales experience preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold (training is provided)
- Ability to anticipate customer's needs through following an industry-proven sales process
- Ability to recommend products to customers to meet their specific in-home design needs
- Willingness to learn and participate in professional training & development opportunities
- Periods of standing and walking throughout the in-home and retail spaces
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times (window treatment samples)
